Role

The Foundation for Augmented Intelligence is a privately-funded organization that invests in innovations that augment the quality of life of neurodiverse individuals, their families, caregivers, community, and society at large. 

The foundation's work draws from psychological theories such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Multiple Intelligences, as well as design research methodologies like Human-Centered Innovation. Investments have included a gravity blanket to ease the stress response in neurodiverse individuals and a romantic partnership app.

I worked one-on-one with Gianfranco Zaccai, past founder and CEO of Continuum Design which birthed products including the Reebok Pump, P&G Swiffer, and the Omnipod Insulin Delivery System.

My work included:

  • Completing qualitative research on the foundation's vision, impact in the marketplace, competitive advantage, and opportunities for growth
  • Ideating and executing a compelling, consistent brand identity that aligned with the vision, mission, and story of the foundation
  • Designing a website; writing all materials in conjunction with the website; completing copywriting across print, web, graphic, and video assets
  • Participating in meetings with external stakeholders; building trust and collaboration between the foundation and stakeholders

Deliverables

The website took three months to conceive of, research, build, and launch. The stories and written materials throughout were written by me, while I sat with and listened to Gianfranco Zaccai and his vision and goals. Click here to view it.
